Come to think of it, it was all due to something my friend said to me, and then the rest is history...

The story begins when this young man was given an opportunity so ludicrous he can't possibly refuse. The only condition is that he needs to work on the other side of the earth, away from his house, his pets, his job, his life.

But, out of hope, out of trust, he decided to take it on. So he quit his job, leave behind his un-paid car with a £10,000 debt, hugs his pets for one last time, salute his friends, and kiss the only life he knows goodbye.

to be continued...

Tai Chi, Tai Ji

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NQ2gGFXAEDc/SCIltfk7NXI/AAAAAAAAABA/4Cp6hbSTqdk/s320/poster+header+2a.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5197758383439689074" />

Recently I'm busy with work and setting up a class for my Tai Ji master in a local community centre.

Tai Ji(not Tai Chi as it has a totally different meaning.) as most people would already know, is a form of gentle exercise passed down from ancient times in Chinese history. But what most people do not know is, that it is after all a form of martial art. Which means hard training and combat orientated movements.

I'm not going to go too deep into explaining the word Tai Ji itself as I'm sure anyone who is reading this knows where to look for such informations.

Tai Ji quan took its name only a few hundred years ago, in Chen's village in China. But it's been said that this is one of the most precious culture of China. The reason lies behind it's foundation.

Tai Ji quan, from it's physical movements to the theory behind the whole practice, is closely related to the ancient Chinese philosophical book I(pronounced ee) Ching. Although the book explains the philosophy behind everything in this universe, Tai Ji quan turned those words into lively actions performed by the human body, though physical movements brings out the meanings of Yin Yan. And from practice we learn to become not only more aware of our own selves, but our opponents and surroundings as well.

I can go on forever talking about Tai Ji and I Ching, but as a human being in this dimension, time is always against us. If you haven't tried Tai Ji yet, go join a class at your local sports club and start enjoying this new life experience.

Lose weight for free

The fitness industry, raised by those "junk" food all too easily available that is also irresistible and modern life style. The deadly off spring which is now all too common - obesity.

People nowadays are spending so much money on health products: pills, "healthy" foods, fitness DVDs, gym. Well, who am I to complain? Since I'm a personal trainer myself, I should be happy with the growing fitness industry.

Yes I love the money in this industry, but in the same time I think losing weight/ getting fitter shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. And that's why I'm going to write some tips on how to lose weight (fat), get fitter.

First up: You Are What You Eat.

There is no secrete in losing weight, the golden rule is: If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.

But that's not to say you should go and starve yourself silly, doing so would only do you more harm then good from losing weight (not extra fat).

A healthy approach is to make a daily food log for a week, note down everything you have consumed in that particular week - meals, drinks, snacks, etc. And afterwards study the log, pick out things that are high in calories and replace them with a healthier option (likes of high fiber foods). You should replace them one by one over time. Since a short, dramatic change in your lifestyle will only ends in vain.

Travel in style

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NQ2gGFXAEDc/SAh4hvcoTxI/AAAAAAAAAA4/_dYaViagXzQ/s1600-h/personal+space.jpg"target="_blank"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_NQ2gGFXAEDc/SAh4hvcoTxI/AAAAAAAAAA4/_dYaViagXzQ/s320/personal+space.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5190531091612061458" />

Ever been annoyed by the person sitting beside you on the long cross continent flights? I can't help but realise that one cannot go about their normal net live without someone trying to stuff fud in your face, spreading shit like butter on toast.

There are a few sites that I visit for my daily doses of tech goodness, mainly the ones that has up-to-date news on gadgets, technology and science. I always thought geeks and scientist has similar mindsets (since they are both supposing-ly well educated): impartial, non-bias, makes decision based on well observed facts. It turns out that I was just being naive...

Articles like <a href="http://gizmodo.com/371238/notes-fck-china-and-anything-made-there"TARGET="_blank">this are all over the internet, or should I say "mindsets like this are all over the world". I started to read gizmodo instead of engadget due to the non-stop <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=real+fake"TARGET="_blank">faggotry in engadget. But the editorial dictatorship and the number of "my shit dont stink/ its a-ok for my shit to stink but not yours" type of comments on gizmodo that's given me a big wake-up slap in the face.

We were born into this world, learning the laws of nature and man-made rules to live by as we grow old. We learnt that there are truths and lies, but where along the line did we learnt to "pick and choose" truths, buffet style? Comments like "Our western world's free speech is under thread, but your equally threaten free speech just isn't acceptable" pops up everywhere. I will go into more details about "free speech" in another post, but if people think other people's system needs to be fixed, shouldn't they do or at least think as such for their own systems?

If I continue on my rant, this post will become too long and boring to read. So I'm going to end this post with the rules that I have set for my blog: Not to be bias, No political debate posts, Only hard facts backed up with references. I will provide truth to my readers, if they feel like they should take a side then by all means, do it. But ignoring/undermining truth is just lying to oneself, which can only hinder your mindsets.

Germania has teeth, too.

Good news, everyone!

Today I joined this hallowed hall of a blog to contribute my own bites and thus point all of your moral compasses a little bit further in the right direction, like those priests of old!

ahem.

Nah, but really. We just grow into accepting the pain, and got so used to it that it doesn't hurt anymore (well, at least not as much).

Anyway, here is where I would do most of my bitting backs, hopefully not so often since no one likes to hear other people's rantings. And when I'm not bad mouthing things in life in general, I will use this space to bring you news of things that I'm interested in: computers, gadgets, sports, etc. (the usual boy stuffs).

Feel free to comment away as I have set it to accept comments from anyone, but IF my blog ever grows large enough, I will limit it to registered users only. Well, here's a big Thank You from me and R.I.P my first ever HP - Blue.

So, this is the age of blogging, where everyone is trying ever so hard to make themselves heard.
